The iPad Pro is reported to include near-field-communication or NFC. This technology is used in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus to make mobile payments with Apple Pay. However, according to Apple Insider, this technology could be used as an Apple Pay-compatible payment terminal that can receive NFC signals from an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus instead of being used to make payments. As we know that many retailers haven’t upgraded to NFC-compatible terminals, so the NFC on the iPad Pro could be the answer for retailers to accept Apple Pay mobile payments.
