Apple watchOS 2 to Arrive on September 16
Apple watchOS 2 will arrive on September 16 as a free update. The update will bring new features and native third-party apps. Apple announced the update last week alongside with the launch of new Apple Watch cases and bands, including new gold and rose gold aluminum Apple Watch Sport models.
“Our customers love Apple Watch and tell us its incredible health and fitness features are having a huge impact on their lives,” said Jeff Williams, Apple’s senior vice president of Operations. “We’re excited to expand Apple Watch’s functionality with watchOS 2 and offer even more personal choice with beautiful new styles and colors.”
The watchOS 2 allows users to enjoy more ways to customize their Apple Watch with new watch faces including Photo, Photo Album and Time-Lapse. So, what are the upcoming features of watchOS 2?
Here are the upcoming features of watchOS 2:
1.The Facebook Messenger app for Watch
Users will be able to text, send audio files and share locations from their Apple Watch.
This feature will allow users to use their Apple Watch as a viewfinder.
This feature will allow users to see, hear and translate over ninety languages by speaking to your Watch.
- Native apps
There will be new Native apps available, for example, the Airstrip, which was demoed at the launch event and is a tool doctors can use to better communicate with patients.
