Sony has just announced the Xperia Z4 in a press release. The phone will be available in Japan later this summer. However, there is no word yet on pricing.
Please note that Sony’s Xperia Z4 is only for Japan. Sony said to prepare another flagship device for the rest of the world which will be unveiled at the end of May. The Sony Xperia Z4 is packed with the latest Snapdragon 810 system chip under the hood.
Sony Xperia Z4 will have 5.2-inch FHD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 and will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage. The phone will also be equipped with a 20.7MP camera on back, a 5.1MP camera on front, 2930mAh battery and Android 5.0 is pre-installed.
The Xperia Z4 will have IP6 certified for dust and IP5 and IP8 certified for water. The phone will be available in White, Black, Copper and Aqua Green.
According to the leaked image which is claimed to be Sony Xperia Z, the upcoming handset looks to have a new clock, adaptive screen color and interesting back panel. It is expected to have a 5.5-inch QHD 1440 x 2560 display, and will be completed with a 20.7Mp camera, Exmor RS CMOS image sensor, LTE Cat 6 and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity. The handset will also offer better music sound with a dedicated amp.
The Xperia Z4 is rumored to be the product placement in the upcoming James Bond movie. The actor and the director of the movie is said to some input on its design. The handset is said to have more rounded corners, glass front- and rear panels. It is also said to have thinner top, and bottom bezels.
Sony Xperia Z4 is said to be powered by 64-bit 2.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, Adreno 430 GPU, 32GB of storage and microSD. So, the handset could be the world’s most powerful smartphone.
Sony Xperia Z4 release date is predicted on around April, 2015. However, it is also possible that the handset will arrive at MWC 20015 which will be held in Barcelona at the first week of March. We will update you with Sony Xperia Z4 released date soon.
